Privacy

Short version: RaceCost has no accounts or ads. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites. Stay22's hotel maps (Indy 500, Las Vegas and Miami pages) load only when you tap them; then Stay22 uses its own cookies and tracking, and may pay us if you book. No email list yet.

What we collect

Nothing you type in: there is no signup form until alerts open.
Hosting logs: the site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser and page requested) to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Visit counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics): every page loads a small Cloudflare script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, which sends page-load timings and the page address to racecost.com/cdn-cgi/rum so we can see visit counts and speed. Cloudflare says it uses no cookies or local storage, doesn't fingerprint visitors and doesn't track people across sites (see Cloudflare's docs on what it collects and data collection). Many ad blockers block it.
Hotel map (Stay22): on the Indy 500, Las Vegas Grand Prix and Miami Grand Prix pages, the hotel map loads from stay22.com only after you tap "Show the hotel map". Once you tap, the map loads Stay22's own scripts, including analytics and error-tracking tools: on Oct 26, 2026 we saw Google Tag Manager, Hotjar and Sentry load inside the map, along with map tiles from Stadia Maps and icons from Font Awesome, and Stay22 set two cookies of its own (a session cookie and a Cloudflare bot-check cookie). Stay22 and the booking sites it links to handle that data under their own policies, and if you book through the map Stay22 may pay RaceCost a commission (see our affiliate disclosure). See Stay22's privacy policy.
Budget builder: what you type into the Indy 500 budget builder is saved only in your own browser (local storage) so it's there next time. It's never sent to us. "Clear" deletes it.
Email you send us: if you write to hello@racecost.com, we keep the message only as long as we need it to reply.

When alerts open

We will store only your email address and the race you picked, confirm it with a double opt-in email, and let you unsubscribe from every message. We will never sell or share your address. This page will be updated, with its date, before signups open.

Your rights
